S. Mackenzie Eastman (Max to her friends) is an interdisciplinary artist working in illustration, design, and curation. Originally from the East Coast, she has previously worked for the likes of the Maine College of Art, Hasbro Inc., California Lutheran University, and more.

Her portfolio spans traditional and digital illustration, graphic design, and textile work, and draws major inspiration from popular media. She is also a writer with experience in screenplays, fiction, and critical analysis. She attended Maine College of Art's illustration program from 2013-2015, and later completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art & Creative Media - an interdisciplinary study program she constructed herself - with a minor in geology, graduating Magna Cum Laude with departmental distinction in 2020.

By combining her varied skillsets, she has curated semi-permanent displays on soil science and paleontology for the Ahmanson Science Center, as well as the exhibition Key Frames: A Celebration of Animation & Production Art at the William Rolland Gallery in Fall 2019. She hopes to continue to use popular art, writing, and museology to encourage a passion for creativity, curiosity and the natural world in future artists and scholars.
